Historian: Takes photos of the events and uploads them onto FB and Tumblr, and also keeps up with the blog.
Secretary: Takes notes during meetings, helps out a little with other officers’ positions
National Advocacy Coordinator: Keeps...

the new year!
Hey guys, the new school year starts in a few days and I hope everyone has had a great summer full of trashy reality TV and bad tan lines.
Many things have happened over the summer in the realm of human rights such as Bashir getting indicted for war crimes (finally) and the creation of the U.N. Commission of Inquiry in Burma - two things for which we have been tabling and calling in our...

10,000 Roses this week!
It is possibly the most spectacular moment of resistance that I can think of in the 20th Century… The fact that five little kids, in the mouth of the wolf, where it really counted, had the tremendous courage to do what they did, is spectacular to me. I know that the world is better for them having been there, but I don’t know why. - Lillian Garrett-Groag in Newsday (22 February 1993)...
The real damage is done by those millions who want to ‘survive.’ The...

Well the first meeting went well, there were several new faces and it’s exciting to start the new year off like that. What’s coming up next week is the Act Local Think Global Panel which we will be tabling at in the Union (and a few of us maybe even on the panel wooo! (also the only students :D …parentheses inside parentheses)). It will be from 10 - 4 so if you’re reading...
spring of twenty ten!
Well, we kicked off the New Year/New Semester with a shindig at Katie’s house with Rockband, Ricky Gervais, the Golden Globes, and almost endless conversation about Jersey Shore. Things like that make me realize what our generation will be remembered for in the future…fake instruments, fake body parts, and fake tans (GTL!) :D
Alright so we’re going to start tabling tomorrow and...
Cheers to another New Year and another chance for us to get it right.

MORE PICTURES FROM KRISTALLNACHT.
These are from tabling at Kristallnacht (a.k.a. The Night of Broken Glass). We created stained glass at our general body meeting in order to represent this, and then made them into pins so people could use these items as a way to remember the horrific night which started the Holocaust.
